Page updated 02-Jan-2011
  • Gus won a Camberley club-promoted speed hill climb held in the vicinity of Camberley Heath and Bagshot Heath aboard a single with a tireless, studded rear wheel.

  • One of the great classics of the year came at the end of June, when the Motorcycling Club held its annual Land's End to John O'Groats Trial. Gus Kuhn was amongst the award winners; he rode a 249cc Calthorpe

  • In September he wins a gold medal on a Solo machine in the One Day Sporting Trial.

  • At Christmas Gus wins Gold again in the London-Exeter-London Trial

As yet, there is little other information about other Gus's activities in 1923. As research reveals further information this page will be expanded. In the meantime, we refer you to Cyril May's article 'ISLE OF MAN EXCITEMENT' including the 1922 TT and 1923 Land's End-John O'Groats Trial, etc.
