Ken Redfern & Gary Green

Feb 2010: My name is Mike Redfern brother of Ken Redfern.

Following Ken's 2 year stint riding for Paul Dunstall he rode twice for Gus Kuhn motorcycles the first time being in Sweden (Anderstorp) in 1972 when, if my memory serves me correctly, he finished fifth in the F750 event.

He also rode the Gus Kuhn bike at Brands in '72 (Hutchinson 100) in the unlimited race finishing 5th or 6th. Unfortunately I don't have the press cuttings to confirm the results.

Regarding Gary Green - poor Gary died of cancer after a long illness in 2008, myself and former production ace Chris Hopes driving down to Coventry to attend. Gary was a good friend who even named his house in Coventry 'Cobwebs' after ours.

After Gary rode for Gus Kuhn he went on to ride the works Hondas in endurance events partnering Stan Woods and Charlie Williams.

Regards, Mike Redfern
