In 1971 Bob Beach started a company based on a brilliant idea. American motorcyclists would love to take tours through Europe but didn't have the time to make the plans or experience to know the best places to go or routes to take. Beach's Motorcycle Tours will arrange it all for you. In those days, when the Personal Export Scheme was so successful, customers would arrange to purchase a BMW motorcycle at Gus Kuhn then take it on a tour with Bob through Europe before shipping the motorcycle back to the USA .
The business is still going strong to this day, though Bob himself retired in 2001. It is a wonderful friendly business now run by his son Rob who personally conducts all of the Alpine and Italian tours in the summer. Many clients return year after year and they offer the 20th tour "on the house". So far they have given away five! One man has been on 26 Beach tours over the years.
